
About Katie

Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest and Shenandoah Valley, Katie's early years were spent roaming trails and hiking the wild areas of her hometowns. She's not sure if her love of fitness began with the 1-mile runs to her childhood mailbox or her first junior triathlon at age 11, but she can say her journey as an athlete began at an early age.
Katie was a multisport athlete in High School, eventually moving on to compete on the triathlon team at NC State. In the years since college, Katie has completed multiple half- and full-Ironman triathlon competitions, the Leadville 50 Ultramarathon, and the JFK 50 Ultramarathon. Her most recent trip in the world of endurance sports was as a supporting race team member at the Cocodona 250 Ultramarathon in Arizona.
Boring but important, Katie has a Bachelor's Degree in Education from NC State, and her love of athletics and helping others has led her to create Phoenix Athletics. Her personal training approach includes fitness and nutrition, and appreciates the mental and emotional aspects of your journey.

Nutrition Coaching

As a Certified Nutrition Coach, Katie will work with you to reach your personal goals with a customized personal nutrition plan designed for you. Nutrition plans are designed in 3-month increments. Use the form below to learn more.
Fitness Classes

Katie currently teaches fitness classes at the University of Richmond's Weinstien Center, Gold's Gym in Willow Lawn, and Gold's Gym at the Arboretum. See the Group Fitness Classes section below for class listings and locations.
Private Classes

Katie offers private fitness classes for groups of 12. Classes can be customized to meet the needs and goals of your group, and are reserved in 4-class increments. All equipment is included. Use the contact form below for details.
